A statement on current status of the Trempealeau Municipal Swimming Pool
Dear Residents,
As you may recall, we announced last fall that essential repairs would be conducted on our municipal pool. We also informed you that these repairs might impact the pool’s opening schedule this year. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions, we must delay the pool’s opening by at least two weeks, potentially longer.
The delay is primarily due to the following factors related to the painting of the pool:
- Temperature: The initial delay stemmed from waiting for warmer overnight temperatures suitable to start the process
- Rain Interference: Consistent rainfall has prevented the painting to begin.
- Curing: Once painting is completed, a 10-day curing period is required.
- Filling and Treatment: Following this, it will take an additional 7-10 days to fill the pool and treat the water to ensure it meets all safety standards.
We understand the importance of the pool to our community and the disappointment this delay may cause. Please be assured that we are working diligently to have these repairs completed as quickly and safely as possible.
We will provide further updates as soon as we have more information on the expected opening date. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
