When is the next election?

The next election is April 7. A sample ballot is available on this page so you can see what will be on your ballot before you vote.

Am I registered to vote?

You can check your voter registration status at My Vote Wisconsin.
If you have moved or changed your name since the last time you voted, you will need to re‑register. We strongly encourage voters to register before Election Day if possible.

How do I register to vote?

You can find instructions and register online at Register to Vote through the My Vote Wisconsin website.

Can I vote absentee?

Yes. You may request an absentee ballot online at My Vote Wisconsin.

Completed absentee ballots must be returned:

  • By mail, or
  • In person by the voter (or by someone assisting a disabled voter)
  • The Village also provides a secure ballot drop box inside the Community Center hallway, which may be used before Election Day.

Do I need a photo ID to vote?

Yes. A photo ID is required to receive a ballot in all Wisconsin elections.

What is a provisional ballot?

If there is an issue with voter eligibility or ID, a provisional ballot may be issued. The number of provisional ballots cast in the Village of Trempealeau will be posted on election night after polls close at 8:00 p.m., along with unofficial results, on the Village website and Facebook page.

Is voting accessible?

Yes. All Wisconsin voters have the right to vote privately and independently at their polling place on Election Day. More information is available through Accessibility and Voting resources.
