Village of Trempealeau – River Level Monitoring Update

Published On: June 11th, 2024|Categories: News|

The village is actively monitoring river levels due to potential flooding concerns. Flooding typically occurs on Lake Road when the Mississippi River reaches 647 feet. At this point, our Police Department and Public Works team evaluate and decide whether to close Lake Road.

The latest estimates indicate that the river will peak at 646.30 feet on June 12th. Based on this estimate, water levels will not cover Lake Road, and there will be no need for a road closure.

Should circumstances change, we will provide another update. For real-time river level estimates, please visit NOAA River Gauges – Trempealeau.

Thank you for your attention.
